Ortofon DJ Needles & Carts
With Shure and Stanton having abandoned ther DJ world, it’s pretty much only Ortofon left. But this ain’t bad news. Ortofon have over 50 years experience and are comitted to this culture, so much so that they have recently brought out two new DJ ranges.
Ortofon VNL Halfmount
Ortofon’s latest cartridge is their answer to the discontinued Shure M447 and will fit on existing headshells. We’ve been running this in store and it’s by far our favourite Ortofon. So much so that we recomment you avoid the Concorde MKIIs (they suffer from alingment issues and the old flat pin contact symdrome)

Ortofon Original Halfmounts
With the update of the Concordes, Ortofon radically stripped back their half-mount range. Half-mounts fit on a standard half inch mount headshell. They are by far the most common headshell and so this option is right for you if you are replacing old carts and don;t want to go concorde.
So Ortofon basically left the least and most expensive hafmounts in the range, the Pro-S and the Q-Bert.
The main difference between these two carts is the volume, Q-Berts are basiaclly twice as lound which only become an thing if you are DJing out on less than par systems.
Replacement Needles
Ortofon has also comitted to making all of the old needles so you are not forced to upgrade to the MKII. Buy Online
